Thanks for checking out my website. I hope you will learn a little about me and enjoy my gourd creations.

I have been working with Gourds since 2007, taking my first beginning gourd class taught by Diane Calderwood at Piecemakers in Costa Mesa CA. Since then I have taken many classes and attended several gourd festivals. I have begun to develop my own artistic style as do most gourd artists. One of my favorite things is piecing gourds together to create a gourd sculpture.

Teaching gourd classes was the next big step for me. Other gourd artists saw some of my creations and encouraged me to teach my techniques to others. Even though preparing for a class is a lot of work I have enjoyed each and every class I have taught.

I also grow my own gourds. It’s so rewarding to watch the baby gourds grow to maturity and be able to create a piece of art from something I have grown myself.

I would like to thank my daughter Melita for creating and maintaining this site. I am so very pleased with her ability and creativity that she has shared with me.
